The Emergency Medicine Difference
Our physicians are board certified in Emergency Medicine and therefore have the expertise to treat a wide range of medical conditions in adults and children of all ages. They have the skills and experience necessary to perform many procedures that most urgent care centers are not comfortable dealing with. Our clinical team consists of both physicians and physician assistants who have worked in some of the leading academic Emergency Departments in the state. Min Cha, MD
Dr. Cha is the founder of Brunswick Urgent Care. He is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and has over 25 years of emergency medicine experience. Dr. Cha received his medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and completed emergency medicine residency training at New York University Medical Center/Bellevue Hospital. He fulfilled his final year of training as Chief Resident of the program. After his training, Dr. Cha directed Bellevue Hospital's Urgent Care Center in NYC. He also has 10 years of emergency room experience at Saint Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. Dr. Cha is married with 3 children and resides in Princeton.
Au Phan, MD
Dr. Phan is the co-founder of Brunswick Urgent Care. He has over 10 years of emergency medicine experience and is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Phan received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He completed his emergency medicine residency training at Morristown Memorial Hospital and fulfilled his residency as Chief Resident of the program. Prior to founding Brunswick Urgent Care, he was an emergency room attending physician at Saint Peter's University Hospital. Dr. Phan is married with 2 children and resides in Warren.
Raffi Kapitanyan, MD
Dr. Kapitanyan has over 10 years of emergency medicine experience and is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Kapitanyan received his medical degree from Downstate Medical Center, College of Medicine in New York. He completed his emergency medicine residency training at the Kings County Hospital Center/SUNY-Downstate Medical Center. Dr. Kapitanyan was an attending physician in the emergency department at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Dr. Kapitanyan is married with 2 children and resides in Basking Ridge
Zachary Perlman, DO
Dr. Perlman received a board certification in Internal Medicine from Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. He subsequently completed a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine in San Antonio, Texas, treating professional athletes including the NBA San Antonio Spurs, where he received a board certification as well. He also has completed an internship in General Surgery from Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ. Dr Perlman is married with 1 child and resides in Somerset.
Winifred Leung, MD
Dr. Leung has over 10 years of emergency medicine experience and is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Leung received her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She completed emergency medicine residency training at the University of Connecticut Hospital . Prior to joining Brunswick Urgent Care, Dr.Leung worked as an attending physician in the emergency department at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Dr. Leung is married with 2 children and resides in South Brunswick.
Genna Kipnis, PA-C
Genna Kipnis graduated from Rutgers Physician Assistant Program with her Master’s Degree in Science in 2010. She is a Board Certified physician assistant by the National Commission of Physician Assistants. She has seven years of emergency medicine experience, working at Capital Health in Trenton, NJ and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. She began working at Brunswick Urgent Care in 2015.
Erin Marthedal, PA-C
Erin Marthedal graduated from the Rutgers Physician Assistant Program with her Master’s Degree in 2010. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and has seven years of emergency medicine experience, working at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and Jersey City Medical Center. She joined the Brunswick Urgent Care team in 2015.
Cynthia has been an Advanced Practice Nurse since 2014 with national board certification in Family Medicine from American Nurses Credentialing Center. She received her Masters Degree from Lasalle University and Bachelors Degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. She has worked in both family practice and urgent care settings. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner she was an RN working in the ER at Jefferson Methodist Hospital in South Philadelphia for over 10 years. Cynthia joined Brunswick Urgent Care in 2019. She resides in Bucks County, PA with her daughter and 2 dogs.

Sean Sheridan, APN
Sean has been an Advanced Practice Nurse since 2020. He received two B.S. degree in Biology and Nursing (2008 & 2009). He graduated from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA with Masters Degree in 2020. He worked as ER/Truma nurse at Cooper University Hospital over 10 years. Sean joined Brunswick Urgent Care in 2021. Sean and his beautiful family live in Camden County.
Tom Roberts, PA-C
Tom Roberts is board certified Physician Assistant. He graduated with a master degree from the University of Missouri, Kansas City in 2019. He worked in ENT office over two years before joining Brunswick Urgent Care in 2021.
Adele Schmool, APN
Adele has been an Advanced Practice Nurse since 2020 with National Board Certification in Family Medicine from the American Association of Nurse Practioners. She received her Master degree from Chamberlain University. She worked in the Ocean University Medical Center in Brick and has experience in both urgent care and pulmonary medicine. Adele joined the Brunswick Urgent Care team in 2022.
Robert Aromando, PA-C
Robert graduated from the Pace University - Lenox Hill Hospital PA program in 2013 and is board certified by the National Commision on Certification of Physician Assistants. He has nearly 10 years experience in trauma, surgery, and intensive care at RWJBH-Jersey City Medical Center, and is excited to bring his experience to the communities we serve.
